Men's Swimming and Diving Edged by Boston College 176.50 to 123.50

BOSTON, Mass. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team traveled to Boston, Mass. to compete against Boston College on Friday and Saturday. Despite many standout performances, the Dragons fell to the to the Eagles by a score of 176.5-123.5.
Alessio Gianni pieced together a strong day in the pool, as the freshman had four top-two finishes. The freshman showed off his versatility by finishing first in the 200 medley relay, 200 back and 200 IM. Gianni also finished in second place in the 200 fly. Gianni is part of a 200 medley relay that has finished first in both of its meets. Rounding out the relay team is Kacper Karnik, Paris Raptis, and John Scully.
In addition to the first place finish in the 200 medley relay, Karnik and Raptis both had two first-place finishes each as individuals. Karnik finished first in both the 100 and 200 breast. Likewise, Raptis finished first in the 100 and 200 fly. John Scully also added a first-place finish with a win in the 50 free.
Drexel's divers took the board Friday night. Peter Soares led the charge for Drexel with a 242.5 off the 1-meter board and a 222.95 off the 3-meter.
The Dragons now turn their attention towards the Patriot Invitational in Fairfax, Va. The three-day event will begin on Nov. 18 and will end on Nov. 20.
