Women's Tennis Drops Match Against Temple, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team (2-1) was defeated by the Temple Owls (7-1) by a score of 5-2 on Saturday.

After dropping the doubles point, the Dragons picked up two points in the second and fifth-seeded singles matches. Šárka Richterová took her second-seeded match into the third set. The sophomore won the first set, 6-3. After dropping the second set, 6-3, Richterová clinched the match with a 6-4 third set.

Tara Veluvolu clinched the No. 5 singles match after three sets. Veluvolu won the first set, 7-5, and the third set, 6-2.

The Dragons return to Vidas Courts on Wednesday, April 7, to face Fordham. The first serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
