
Jesudason and De Sousa Move Onto Day Three of ITA Regionals

PHILADELPHIA – Alan Jesudason and Alex De Sousa of the Drexel men's tennis team advanced to the third day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Associaion Northeast Regional tournament. Jesudason advances to the third day as a singles competitor and the sophomore and De Sousa will compete in doubles play together.
Jesudason, after earning a bye in the first round, defeated Mehdi Dhouib of Farleigh Dickinson. The sophomore dropped the first set, 6-4, but bounced back to take the second and third sets, 6-3, 6-4. Jesudason will face Arman Sharman of Cornell on Sunday.
In doubles play, the pair of Jesudason and De Sousa earned a bye in the first round and then took down the team of Dhruv Tangri and Pablo Carrera of Rider, 8-2, to move onto Sunday. The duo will battle Manfredi Graziani and Matt Rutter of Penn.
