No. 3 Women's Squash Blanks No. 28 Haverford In Season Opener

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The No. 3 Drexel women's squash team opened the season and began pool play at the Pennsylvania State Cup with a resounding 9-0 win against No. 28 Haverford in a match that did not see the Dragons drop a single game.
Getting the afternoon started for Drexel was Hatti Specter who dropped only a single point in her 11-0, 11-1, 11-0 sweep at No. 9. Newcomer Moa Bonnemark did not concede a point at the fifth position with her 11-0, 11-0, 11-0 win. Ava Prokes put DU up 3-0 with a 11-2, 11-3, 11-2 victory in the number eight spot.
Emma Bartley made it 4-0 with an 11-6, 11-5, 11-4 sweep, with Lara Varma earning the winning point for the Dragons, taking down Emilia Zegers 11-2, 11-1, 11-2 in the seventh position.
Also earning wins for Drexel were Alina Bushma, Noa Romero, Margot Prow and Dina Rosli.
Drexel is back in action on Saturday when it travels to No. 21 Franklin & Marshall. Opening serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
