Dragons of the Week: Washington and Williams

PHILADELPHIA - Keishana Washington of women's basketball and Amari Williams of men's basketball have been named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the period from November 21 through November 27, 2022.
Washington averaged 24.0 points and 7.5 assists per game during a 2-0 week for the Dragons. On Tuesday against Lehigh, she posted her first career double-double behind 33 points and 10 assists. The 10 assists were a career-high and it was her third, 30-point game of the season. On Sunday at Buffalo, she led all scorers with 15 points in a defensive battle against the Bulls, her 39th consecutive double-figure scoring game.
Williams pieced together four double-digit point performances, including a double-double this past week. The junior scored 10 points and grabbed 10 boards in Drexel's win against UT Arlington. In the second game of Gulf Coast Showdown, the center poured on 20 points while corralling nine rebounds. Williams then pieced together a 15 and five performance in the final game of the showcase. On Sunday, in Drexel's game against Temple, the center played for 30 of the 40 total minutes and scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds.
