Men's Tennis Competes in First day of Dragon Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's tennis team opened up the annual Dragon Invitational on Friday afternoon. Drexel spent the first day competing against St. John's and was victorious in four of six singles matches along with winning all three doubles matches.
Alan Jesudason and Alex De Sousa highlighted the Dragons in doubles play by defeating their opponents, 6-2. Matvey Radionov and Daniel Dudockin took down their opponents, 7-5, and Djordje Janackovic and Juan Manuel Sanchez defeated their St. John's counterparts, 6-3.
In singles play, Jesudason earned a three-set victory, 3-6, 7-6, 12-10. Daniel Dudockin made relatively quick work of Ryota Kaneda, 6-0, 7-5. Hugo Brungs defeated his opponent, 6-3, 6-0. Lastly, Manuel Sanchez took down his opponent, 6-4, 6-1.
The Dragons return to Vidas Courts on Saturday to compete in the second day of the Dragon Invitational.
