Men's Rowing Performs Well at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Drexel University men's rowing team stepped up in competition and held its own taking on Princeton, Temple, and Georgetown on Lake Carnegie at Princeton on Saturday morning.
Leading the way for the Dragons was the Varsity 8+. Competing in Lois Krall III, Drexel came in with a time of 5:51.5, less than five seconds behind Princeton and two seconds ahead of third place Temple.
In the 2V8+, DU placed third, getting edged out for second place by tenths of a second, finishing in a time of 5:56.7.
The 3V8+ in Sandra Lee Sheller II took a second place time of 6:04.3, behind the host Tigers and five seconds better than Temple. In the combined 4V8+/5V8+ race, the 4V8+ placed third with a time of 6:22.3 with the 5V8+ coming fourth at 6:37.2.
Drexel returns to action on Saturday, April 2 when it takes to the Schuylkill River for the Murphy Cup Regatta.
