Men's Tennis Falls in CAA Quarterfinals to Delaware, 4-1

ELON, N.C. – The Drexel men's tennis team fell to the Delaware Blue Hens in the 2022 CAA Championships hosted by Elon on Friday afternoon, 4-1. The Dragons close their 2021-22 schedule with a 9-9 record.
Delaware was quick to capture the doubles point. The Blue Hens defeated the Dragons with a pair of 6-2 matches and a 6-3 final in the third-seeded match.
In singles play, Matvey Radionov won Drexel its lone point of the match. The senior defeated his opponent in the fifth-seeded match with a pair of 6-4 sets. In the second-seeded match, Alex De Sousa was in the middle of the third set before Delaware clinched its final point. Sanil Jagtiani was also in his third set.
Jagtiani and Xandy Hammitt wrap their Drexel career by becoming the program's third and fourth players to win 50 singles and 50 doubles matches in their careers. The pair also is the program's first 50/50 players at the same time.
