Men's Rowing Competes at Head of the Charles

BOSTON – The Drexel men's rowing team competed at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, earning a top-12 finish as part of the prestigious event.

Rowing in Lois Krall II, the Collegiate 8+ of Charlotte Bentrim (coxswain), Vuk Mladenovic (stroke), Roman Smigiel, Michael Pazderski, Nick Foley, Jack Anderson, Willem Kirsch, John Little and Zach Key (bow) finished 11th out of 42 boats with a time of 15:54.571.

In the Championship 8+, Drexel crossed the finish line in a time of 15:41.878 with Alex Dragovits (coxswain), Josh Diggons (stroke), Nikola Loncar, Nemanja Sajatovic, Zoran Bosnic, James Schmidt, Andrew Manns, Kosta Petkovic and Andrei Malis (bow) competing in Lois Krall III.

Also competing was Sean Williams who took to the water for Rowing In Color, a podcast that is dedicated to amplifying the voices of people of color in rowing. Williams helped Rowing In Color to a time of 18:29.453 in the Club 8+ while competing in an all-Black eight-man boat.

Drexel returns to action on Saturday, October 28 when it competes at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta.
