PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team was defeated by the Syracuse Orange, 4-2, on Saturday at Vidas Courts.

In doubles play, the pair of Renata Lombera and Lorie Lemongo defeated their opponents 7-6 and won the tiebreaker to earn the Dragons its first doubles win. The Dragons fell in the second-seeded match and forfeited the No. 3 match to give the Orange their first point of the match.

In singles, the Dragons grabbed the first and second-seeded match. Lemongo downed her counterpart, 7-5, 6-1 in the top spot. Lombera downed her opponent in the second-seeded match 6-2, 3-0.

The Dragons return to action on Sunday, February 5 at noon.
