Smith Qualifies For 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials

East Meadow, N.Y. – Sebastian Smith of the Drexel men's swimming and diving team qualified for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials after swimming a 53.51 in the 100 Long Course Meters (LCM) fly.
Smith becomes the first male swimmer in program history to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team Swim Trials. To qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials, a swimmer must swim a time set by the USA Swimming, the National Governing Body of swimming in the United States. For the 100 fly, the standard was set at 53.59.
The U.S. Olympic Team Swim Trials are scheduled for June 15-23, 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
