Drexel Athletics Mourns the Loss of Terrence Butler

The Drexel Athletics community is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Terrence Butler on Wednesday. Butler was a member of the Drexel men's basketball team and an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering.
An active member of the campus community, Butler was involved in numerous activities and organizations. He was known to many throughout the Athletics Department and around campus as a personable student with an infectious smile and personality.
The entire Drexel community sends its deepest sympathy to Terrence's family, friends, and teammates.
"Our family is heartbroken with the news of the passing of Terrence," said his parents Dena and Terrence, Sr. "Terrence was a gentle, kind soul who was a joy to be around. He was beloved by so many people and will be dearly missed. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support that we have received during this difficult time."
The Butler family kindly asks that its privacy is respected.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023 at Zion Church. The address is 8829 Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt, Md. An interment will follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
