PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's rowing team had three top 10 finishes, including a third-place finish in the Men's Club Championship 8+ at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday. The Dragons also finished seventh in the Men's Championship 8 and fourth in the College Frosh/Novice 8+.
The Drexel "A" team, in the Lois Krall III, had an impressive third place finish in the Men's Club Championship 8. The squad consisted of Griffin Johnson (coxswain), Marawan Mohamed (stroke), Zoran Bosnic, Riccardo Bouehi, Dearon Tufankjian, Zach Key, Nick Foley, Collin Gross and Willem Kirsch (bow). Only a pair of Penn boats defeated the Dragons in the event.
The Dragons narrowly missed another third place and finished ahead of fifth-place Temple in the Men's Frosh/Novice 8+. Derek Kaiser (coxswain), Jakob Mauntel (stroke), Andrei Axintoi, Braeden Montgomery, Bartek Socha, Illia Chykanov, Jack Brennan, Danilo Djokic and Filip Milanovic (bow) crossed the finish line in the Sandra Lee Sheller at 12:12.746
