Dragons Have Two Top Five Finishes at the Head of the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's rowing team had two top five finishes at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia. In addition, Sarah Ghazaz placed second in the Women's Collegiate Single.

In the Women's Club Championship race, Drexel placed fifth overall. Rowing in the Alleva XVII, the Drexel team of Katie O'Donnell (coxswain), Baylor Henry (stroke), Hannah Walseth, Jaelyn Walsh, Margaret Dobrenko, Emily Ellis, Sabrina Batdorf, Ellen McCallin and Lily Gramlich (bow) crossed the finish line in 13:19.236. They trailed only two Penn boats, UConn and Embry-Riddle.

The Dragons finished third in the Collegiate Frosh/Novice 4+ with a time of 14:59.659. Paulina Restrepo, Paige Hartshorn, Grace Conroy and Kari Prosperi, in the Laura Ludwick White shell, trailed only Monmouth and Penn.

Sarah Ghazaz represented the Dragons in the Women's Collegiate and won a silver medal with a time of 17:17.648. She was one of five women participating in the event.

The Dragons close the fall season next Sunday in the Princeton Chase
