Short and Whittaker-Francis Named CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Patrick Short and Isaiah Whittaker-Francis of the Drexel men's soccer team have been named to the College Sport Communicators Academic All-District as announced by the organization.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a sophomore academic standing or higher with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve for their team.
Short completed his graduate campaign with five goals and 10 assists for 20 points across 13 matches and 1311 minutes. Short concluded the regular season with a five-point performance against Charleston. The Georgetown, Del. native scored two goals and tallied an assist in the 5-1 victory. The major award is Short's first of his career and it is his second All-CAA selection. In 2023, he was named to the All-CAA Third Team. Short was named the CAA's Co-Midfielder of the Year in 2024, making him the first Dragon to win this award.
Whittaker-Francis played in 16 matches and started in 15 this season, accruing 1303 minutes played. In the midfield, the Brampton, Ontario native contributed by tallying a goal and an assist. But more importantly, it was Whittaker-Francis' presence on the back line. The Sophomore helped hold opponents to 1.53 goals per game.
