
Men's Swimming and Dive Tops Seton Hall 156-143

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.- The Drexel men's swimming and diving team went on the road and defeated Seton Hall 156-143 Saturday afternoon. The Dragons claimed first place in eight events on the day.
Theo Andreopoulos took first place in the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle. Andreopoulos took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 48.86 seconds and 20.69 second in the 50 freestyle. He also contributed significantly to the relay events, teaming up with Colton Wade, Reds Rullis, and Sebastian Smith to win the 400 freestyle Relay with a finishing time of 3:01.70.
Bart Loter made waves in the 100 breaststroke, touching the wall first at 57.08 seconds, while Alessio Gianni dominated the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.05. The men's 200 medley relay team, featuring Dimi Gkelis, Bart Loter, Jakub Kwasny, and Sebastian Smith, also took second in a closely contested race, finishing at 1:31.00.
Additional standout performances included Sebastian Smith's win in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.22 seconds, as well as Reds Rullis' third-place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:52.13. The Dragons also secured third in several other events, such as the 50 freestyle with Rullis at 21.21 seconds and the 500 freestyle with Andrea Casini finishing at 4:45.54.
Up next for the Dragons is the Bruno Invite at Providence, Rhode Island on November 22-24.
