MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Valentine Van Hellemont has been named a Second Team All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Tuesday. Van Hellemont became the program's eighth player to receive this honor, first since 2012 (Amanda Fleischut).
The Lier, Belgium native adds this honor to an already historic season where she earned CAA Player of the Year, NFHCA First Team All-Region and now NFHCA Second Team All-American. Van Hellemont led the Dragons in scoring, finishing with 22 points, 11 of which found the back of the net.
Drexel finished the season with a 14-5 record and captured the CAA regular season title for the first time since 2010.
