Three Dragons Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Chloe Hodges, Hetta Saatman and Grace O'Neill of the Drexel women's basketball team have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District as announced by the organization.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be of a sophomore academic standing or higher with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve for their team.
Hodges started in all 34 of Drexel's contests this season, averaging 8.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Averaging 28.1 minutes per game, Hodges was named to the CAA All-Tournament team for her efforts in the championship run for Drexel and hit the game-winning layup in the semifinals against Towson with three seconds left to send Drexel to the championship game. In the classroom, the senior from Adelaide, Australia has a 3.72 GPA as an elementary education major.
Saatman put together one of the best seasons of her career. The graduate student started all of Drexel's games and helped the team immensely down the last stretch of the season. In the last eight games of the season, Saatman scored more than 10 points in five of them, including tying a career-high of 15 points against Campbell on March 3. Saatman has a 4.0 GPA in her master's degree in sport coaching leadership and finished her undergraduate degree with a 3.76 GPA in elementary education.
O'Neill turned in the second-most minutes on the team after averaging 31.8 per game. The sophomore point guard led the team in rebounds with 128 and helped Drexel win the third conference title in program history by playing for more than 30 minutes in each of the tournament games and playing a complete 40-minute game against Towson in the semifinals, where she tied a career-high in assists with seven. O'Neill has a 3.98 GPA as a finance major.
All three student-athletes will now be moved on to the national Academic All-America ballot to be voted on by members of College Sports Communicators.
