Margot Prow Advances to Ramsay Cup Semis as Individual Championships Begin

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's squash team started competition at the CSA National Collegiate Individual Championships on Friday.
Margot Prow kicked things off in the Ramsay Cup for the Dragons, defeating Sneha Sivakumar from Yale, 11-7, 11-8, 11-8 in round one. In the second round, Prow stood tall against Wen Li Lai of Cornell, winning 11-2, 11-4, 11-1 to advance to the semifinals against Marina Stefanoni of Harvard. Action is set to start on Saturday at 1:50 p.m.
In Holleran North, Sanya Vats took down Rachel Matamoros of Connecticut College in the first round, winning 11-1,11-2, 11-1. In round two, Vats again advanced, this time against Rafaela Albuja of William Smith, going the distance 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 10-12, 12-10. Vats will compete in the semifinals on Saturday against Gigi Yeung of Yale. Action is set to start at 10:00 a.m.
In Holleran South, Emi Falconi took down Jada Smith-Padmore of William Smith in round one, 12-10, 11-1, 11-6 to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. In round two, Falconi was downed by Clare Minnis of Virginia, 11-5 11-2, 11-8.
Meanwhile, in Holleran East, Dina Rosli was victorious in the first round against Sophia Koehler of Williams, 11-8, 6-11, 13-11, 11-3. In round two, Rosli was taken down by Lucie Stefanoni of Harvard, 11-7, 11-6, 11-2.
Lastly in Holleran West, Emma Bartley was the winner in round one against Anna O'Connor of William Smith, 11-6, 11-2, 11-4. In the quarterfinals, Bartley was downed by Lujan Palacios of Trinity, going the distance 10-12, 5-11, 11-9, 11-4, 11-8.
