
Chelsea Gravereaux Named CAA Swimmer of the Year

RICHMOND, Va. - Chelsea Gravereaux of the Drexel women's swimming and diving team was named the Coastal Athletic Association's Swimmer of the Year on Thursday morning. The graduate student is the second women's swimmer to win the award in Drexel history.
Gravereaux won the 2024 CAA Championship Most Outstanding Swimmer award, only the fourth woman's swimmer to do so in program history. The Emmaus, Pa. native had three gold medal performances, winning the 50 free (22.29), the 100 free (48.52) and the 200 free (1:47.22), while setting program records in both the 50 free and 100 free. Gravereaux was also a member of the 200 free relay team that captured a bronze medal (1:31.76).
In addition, the conference recognized all medal finishers at the conference championships as All-CAA athletes. 13 Dragons won a medal for both the men's and women's teams during the CAAs, with Sebastian Smith and Jakub Kwasny each taking home a pair of gold medals on the men's side.
