Drexel Athletics to Host Basic Olympic Lifting Certification Course on June 15

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel Athletics will be hosting a Basic Olympic Lifting Certification (BOLC) course on Saturday, June 15 at the Daskalakis Athletic Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The course will be instructed by Leo Totten, a USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame member and recognized as one of the 65 most influential Strength Coaches of all time, and cost $349 per person.
The course will give each participant eight hours of "hands on" instruction on the clean, snatch and jerk, along with power point documents before the course with details about positions and cues. There will be a final assessment that features a mini-competition with Techinique Analysis Rubric.
All participants will be given access to a 55 minute review video of technique.
