Record Setting 24 Hours of Impact Benefits Drexel Student-Athletes

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel Athletics shattered its record with 4,621 donations being made to support Dragon student-athletes during 24 Hours of Impact, the University's annual Day of Giving, on May 15. Collectively, $484,125 were raised to impact the student-athlete experience on campus.
"Thank you to the generous alumni, parents, fans and friends who invested in Drexel Athletics during 24 Hours of Impact," said Director of Athletics Maisha Kelly. "Your support ensures that our programs remain at a competitive level and pursue elevated experiences for our student-athletes."
For the second consecutive year, men's lacrosse led all programs in total dollars raised with $49,930, while women's lacrosse, wrestling and the Dragon Club (Athletics Unrestricted) also surpassed $40,000. Wrestling topped $40,000 for the fourth straight year.
"It's amazing to see the annual outpouring of support for Drexel Athletics and our student-athletes during 24 Hours of Impact," said Kerry DiBlasio, Assistant Vice President, Development. "We're grateful for the support of the Drexel community and the partnership of our coaches, student-athletes and colleagues across campus who turn out to support the Dragons each year."
Overall, the University had a record-setting day raising support for student success, establishing a new mark with 7,022 individual donations accounting for $1,162,178 total dollars during 24 hours. For results and to see the leaderboard, visit drexel.edu/24.
