Oscar Maxfield Qualifies for U.S. Amateur

PHILADELPHIA - Recent Drexel graduate Oscar Maxfield has qualified for the 2024 U.S. Amateur. The Utah native tied for medalist honors on July 23rd at The Country Club in Salt Lake City.
Maxfield advanced in an 18-hole Local Qualifying round, to advance to the Final Qualifying. The USGA revamped the qualifying model for the U.S. Amateur this season. They shifted from the traditional same day 36-hole format to a two-stage process.
This year's U.S. Amateur Championship will be held at the renowned Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, from August 12-18.
