Drexel Falls in First Round of Henley Royal Regatta

HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England - The Drexel women's rowing team was defeated by G.S.R. Aegir in their first-round heat Wednesday afternoon at the Henley Royal Regatta in Henley-on-Thames, England.
The Varsity 8+ team of Chloe Speciale (Coxswain), Taylor Powell (Stroke), Kira Tracy, Julianna Rogers, Mollie Knoff, Ariana Townsend, Rita Keefer, Sarah Ghazaz and Kayla Driscoll were eliminated from the Island Challenge Cup against the team from the Netherlands.
The Dragons were the first team in program history to qualify at Henley in program history. Drexel advanced to the Cup after capturing one of the final 13 spots in the time trials.
