Combs and Lima-Bittencourt Earn Spots on the CSC Academic All-District Team

PHILADELPHIA - Christian Combs and Tiago Lima-Bittencourt of the Drexel men's soccer team have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, as announced by the organization. Both are finalists for the CSC Academic All-America teams.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in sophomore academic standing or higher, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, and be a starter or key reserve on their team.
Combs played 15 games in his senior season, starting 7 of them. The senior from North Whales, Pa. scored a goal and an assist this season and played 670 minutes. The major award is Comb's first of his career. Combs has previously been named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in 2022, 2023 and 2024 with High Honors Distinction last year and High Honors in 2023.
Lima-Bittencourt played in 16 matches and started 15 this season, totaling 1,250 minutes. The Junior midfielder contributed to the team on both offense and defense, scoring three goals and recording one assist. On the back line, the Curitiba, Brazil native contributed to three shutouts as well as helping hold opponents to 1.44 goals per game.
