Dragon of the Week: Baker and Garcia Adsten

PHILADELPHIA – Amaris Baker and Villiam Garcia Adsten named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of November 25th–December 1st.
Amaris Baker, a member of the women's basketball team, paced Drexel with 22 points in the Dragons 57-55 loss at Saint Joseph's. The graduate student shot 8-for-18 from the field and 3-for-4 from deep, marking her fourth 20-point performance of the season. The Philadelphia, Pa. native continues to lead the Dragons offensively, averaging 20.9 points per game through the first seven contests of the year.
Drexel returns home to the Daskalakis Athletic Center to face American on December 3 at 6 p.m.
Villiam Garcia Adsten, a member of the men's basketball team, recorded a double-double in Drexel's first win of the season, a 71-55 road victory at Morgan State. The junior finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds across 29 minutes, helping the Dragons secure their first triumph of the campaign. The Stockholm, Sweden native is averaging 7.1 rebounds per game (most on the team) along with 6.9 points per outing.
The Dragons travel to Washington, D.C. to take on American on December 3 at 7 p.m.
