MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Drexel field hockey's Valentine Van Hellemont and Natali Foster were each named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team, as announced Wednesday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The honor marks another significant postseason recognition for the Dragons following their 2025 CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
Van Hellemont earned her third NFHCA All-Region selection and her second consecutive First Team honor after a standout junior season in which she was named both the CAA Player of the Year and the CAA Tournament MVP. She became the first Drexel field hockey player to earn three major CAA awards, having been named Rookie of the Year in 2023 and collecting back-to-back Player of the Year honors in 2024 and 2025. Van Hellemont tied for the team lead with 28 points on eight goals and 12 assists, ranking among the conference's top offensive performers.
Foster earned All-Region First Team honors after a strong senior season in which she was named the CAA's Co-Defensive Player of the Year. A key presence in Drexel's midfield and defensive structure, Foster was third on the team in points with 18, which included seven goals and four assists. The senior anchored a Drexel defense that posted the best goals-against average in the conference at 1.30. Her award continues a progression that includes CAA All-Rookie recognition in 2022 and All-CAA Second Team honors in 2023.
