Rullo Named CAA Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – The Coastal Athletic Association has named Drexel women's basketball freshman Molly Rullo the CAA's Rookie of the Week following her two double-digit performances last week.

Rullo pieced together two career games to help Drexel finish 2-0 last week. In Drexel's game against American on Wednesday, Rullo finished with the first collegiate double-digit performance, scoring 11 points. On Sunday afternoon, Rullo continued shooting a hot hand. Across 29 minutes, Rullo shot 8-for nine from the field and 5-for-6 from deep to finish with 22 points. She also finished with five assists and four rebounds. Rullo is the fifth Drexel freshman since the school joined the CAA in 2001 to finish with 22 points in a game.

Drexel takes a brief break before returning to action on Tuesday, December 16. The Dragons will play in a doubleheader with Drexel's men's basketball team and face Chestnut Hill in the latter part of the two games. Tip from the Daskalakis Athletic Center is set for 3:30 p.m.
