PHILADELPHIA - Harper Barrowman and Tavneet Mundra were named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopedics, for the week of January 3rd-February 9th.
Harper Barrowman, member of women's swim and dive, delivered a standout performance for Drexel in their 177-85 win against Monmouth. Barrowman dominated the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall first with a time of 1:54.43, and later added another first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:05.58. The freshman also contributed a second-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle, posting a time of 10:42.31.
Tavneet Mundra, member of men's squash, picked up the match clinching point to lift Drexel over Virginia in the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship. Facing Francis Hajek in a decisive match, Mundra started strong with an 11-9 first-game win before Hajek responded with a dominant second game, 11-4. With the match on the line, Mundra edged out a tight 12-10 third game to regain momentum. The freshman closed out the match in the fourth, winning 11-6 to clinch the 5-4 victory.
