ANNAPOLIS, MD– Drexel men's tennis defeats Navy 5-2 on the road. The Dragons improve to 6-2 on the season.
In doubles, the pairs of Will Burridge and Hussein El Tawil, along with Antonio Franquis and Josue Guzman, earned wins to clinch the opening point.
In singles, Roman Lafond picked up a straight-set win, defeating Nathan Nguyen 7-5, 6-2. Will Burridge and Hussein El Tawil each battled through three-set matches, with Burridge overcoming Luke Garner 7-6(8), 2-6, 6-1, and El Tawil grinding out a 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 win over George Cutone. Egor Kirakosov also came through in three sets, closing out Tommy Kim 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
The Dragons will go on the road to Newark, De. on March 14th to take on Delaware.
