Drue Nicholas Named PING All-Region

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel's Drue Nicholas has been named to the Division I Northeast PING All-Region team.
Nicholas recently concluded an exceptional career at Drexel. He was honored by the CAA in each of his four seasons, once as a First Team All-CAA selection and three times as a Second Team pick. Nicholas led the Dragons in scoring average at 71.6. He was named CAA Player of the Week twice this season and finished his career with eight CAA Player of the Week awards. Nicholas had five top five finishes in 24-25 and was the medalist at the Peoples Championship in St. Simons Island, Ga. He also placed second on three occasions. Ten of his 23 rounds this season were in the 60's and he was at or better than par 12 times. Nicholas has four wins in his career and has twice been named a CAA All-Tournament selection.
The Egg Harbor Township member helped lead the Dragons to their best finish ever in the postseason. Drexel forced a playoff after 54 holes against Elon in the CAA Championship, narrowly missing the school's first championship
