Lima-Bittencourt Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND - Tiago Lima-Bittencourt of Drexel men's soccer was named the CAA's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning. It is Lima-Bittencourt's first conference honor as part of Drexel's roster.
Lima-Bittencourt shined in Drexel's home-opener against Northeastern on Saturday. The junior played a role in both of Drexel's goals in its 2-1 victory against the Huskies, assisting on the first goal and scoring the second. In the 25th minute, the Curitiba, Brazil native crossed the ball into the box and found an open Will Starker, who scored on an open net. A little over four minutes later, Lima-Bittencourt finished a shot that was deflected off of a Northeastern defender and scored after the ball hit the crossbar and bounced in.
