Shannon Named CAA Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Jack Shannon, of Drexel men's soccer, has been selected as the CAA's Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
The freshman played all 180 minutes of Drexel's two matches this past week. In the mid-week clash with Penn, Shannon earned his first collegiate goal in Drexel's 3-3 draw. The Houston, Texas native then helped the Dragons shutout Stony Brook on Saturday, 2-0, on Long Island. Shannon picked up two assists in another 90 minutes of play.
The Dragons return home to Vidas Field on Tuesday, September 23 to face its second of three straight Long Island opponents. The LIU Sharks travel to University City to play Drexel at 5 p.m.
