
Hamers Lifts Dragons Past Louisville, 1-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Fleur Hamers knocked in the game-winner as Drexel defeated Louisville, 1-0, in a neutral-site matchup on Saturday. The Dragons improved to 2-2 on the season and are now 2-0 all-time against the Cardinals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first half, Hamers broke through in the 40th minute, putting away a rebound off the post for her first collegiate goal of her young career. Drexel's defense did the rest, limiting Louisville to just five shots, including one on goal, to secure the Dragons' first shutout of the fall.
BY THE NUMBERS
Hamers recorded her first goal of the year.
Drexel outshot Louisville 10-5 and held a 3-2 advantage in penalty corners.
Halle Geiger made one save to notch her first shutout of the season.
