Fleur Hamers Named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, VA. – Freshman Fleur Hamers was named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week for her performance this past weekend in the teams victory over Louisville. This the first CAA weekly award for Hamers.
After a scoreless first half against Louisville, Hamers broke through in the 40th minute with her first collegiate goal. The freshman pounced on a rebound after a shot hit the post and knocked it in to give Drexel the 1-0 lead. The strike stood as the game-winner and secured the Dragons' second win of the season. Hamers leads Drexel with 16 shots on the year, including seven on goal, and has started all four matches to open her collegiate career.
The Dragons return to Buckley Field on Friday, September 12, to host Rider at 4 p.m.
