Riley Lukach’s Strike Lifts Dragons Past Stony Brook, 1-0
10/18/2026 5:39:00 PM | Women's Soccer
PHILADELPHIA — A goal from Riley Lukach helped lift the Drexel women's soccer team past Stony Brook on Sunday afternoon, 1-0. The win marks just the second victory over the Seawolves in program history, and their first since 2015.
The lone goal of the contest came after Julia Dunaway sent a cross into the box that was cleared by the Seawolves defense. Lukach collected the loose ball near midfield and fired a shot that curled into the top-left corner of the net, the sophomore's third of the campaign.
Gracie Sullivan recorded her second clean sheet of the season and the Dragons third as a team. She finished with three saves to bring her season total to 73.
The Dragons are now 6-7-2 on the season, with a 2-4-1 record in conference play under head coach Shannon Grogan, who served as a member of the Seawolves staff from 2018-25. As a player, she was a four year member of the Stony Brook squad, helping the team win their first America East Championship.
The Dragons final regular season home match takes place on October 25 as DU battles Hofstra at 12 p.m.
