PHILADELPHIA – Drexel Athletics is set to elevate the fan experience at the Daskalakis Athletic Center during the 2026-27 basketball season with a slate of new promotions, interactive experiences, giveaways, contests, merchandise offerings and premium hospitality opportunities for Dragons fans. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of 2026-27 Drexel Men's Basketball season.
From opportunities to win cash prizes and exclusive memorabilia to expanded food offerings, new videoboard experiences and the recently announced 1891 Social Club, every visit to the DAC will offer fans new ways to engage with Drexel Basketball throughout the men's and women's basketball seasons.
Fans will have several new opportunities to become part of the action during games through a variety of interactive promotions and videoboard activations.
Through the new Citadel Spotlight, one fan seated in the general admission sections will be randomly selected each game to receive a premier chairback seat upgrade, an exclusive piece of Drexel memorabilia, and recognition on the videoboard courtesy of Citadel Credit Union, the official credit union of Drexel Athletics.
The new Pepsi Pump-Up promotion will encourage the DAC crowd to bring the energy throughout the season. During select timeouts, the Pepsi Pump-Up cam will search the arena for the loudest and most spirited Dragons fans and feature them on the videoboard.
Fans also could see themselves on the big screen through the DAC's new Tagboard Fan Wall. By sharing photos of their time at Drexel University on social media using #FearTheDragon, supporters may have their posts featured live on the videoboard throughout the game.
Several promotions will provide fans with opportunities to earn prizes, free food and even cash throughout the season.
The popular When We Win, You Win promotion returns in partnership with Saxbys. Following every Drexel basketball home victory, fans can enjoy a free coffee from Saxbys the next day when presenting a ticket stub from the winning game.
The new Miss 2 Eat Free promotion gives Dragons fans another reason to get loud in the second half. If a player from the opposing team misses both free throw attempts during the second half of a game, every fan in attendance will receive a free cheesesteak egg roll from Capelli's Bros. Cheesesteaks, the official cheesesteak partner of Drexel Athletics.
A pair of halftime contests will provide students with opportunities to take home significant cash prizes. During the women's basketball game against Saint Joseph's on Nov. 15, one student will have the chance to win $50,000 with a successful progressive shooting contest. Another student will have the opportunity to shoot a half-court shot for $10,000 during the men's basketball game against American on November 11.
The 2026-27 schedule will also feature several promotional nights, and special events designed to reward fans throughout the season.
The highly anticipated annual Mario the Magnificent Bobblehead Giveaway, presented by IBEW 98 / NECA, is set for February 8 when the Dragons host Monmouth. This season's collectible features Mario dressed as one of the nation's founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin. Fans are encouraged to join the fun by coming dressed as Ben Franklin and participating in a look-alike contest. Fans will have another opportunity to add to their collection on February 26 when the Drexel women's basketball team hosts Hofstra and another bobblehead will be distributed.
Students will have six opportunities to enter to win a pair of AirPods Pro 3 through the new Big 5 Big Prizes promotion. One winner will be selected following the Drexel's six Big 5 contests, including the annual Big 5 Classics.
Faculty and staff will be recognized during a pair of Employee Appreciation Games, with the women's basketball team hosting its event on Dec. 21st and the men's basketball team following on Feb. 18.
Fan-favorite Dollar Dog Nights return to the DAC on Jan. 7 and Feb. 14, providing an affordable and family-friendly addition to the game day experience. Other game promotions for the basketball season can be found here.
Fans will also find new ways to showcase their Dragons pride throughout the season.
Drexel Athletics will introduce exclusive collectible souvenir items, including a Dragon Eye popcorn bucket and Dragon Eye souvenir cup, available at basketball games throughout the year.
In addition, the department's growing partnership with Rally House will bring an expanded merchandise presence to the DAC. Fans will find a larger selection of Drexel apparel, accessories, and spirit wear available at the on-site merchandise stand throughout the season.
The new promotions and experiences complement the recently announced 1891 Social Club, Drexel Athletics' premium hospitality space featuring rotating specialty menus, exclusive amenities and a unique game day environment for fans seeking an elevated basketball experience.
