Women's Tennis Tops Delaware State, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team defeated the visiting Delaware State on Saturday, 5-2.

In doubles play, Lemongo and Dabah earned a 6-3 victory at No. 1, while Kavounov and Fiedler secured a 6-3 win in the second position. Snitko and Fourie completed the sweep with a 6-1 triumph at No. 3.

In singles action, Lemongo cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win in the top spot. Dabah battled through a three-set thriller, falling 7-6 (7-4) in the opening set before responding with a 7-6 (10-7) and 1-0 (10-7) victory. Fiedler split the first two sets, 6-3 and 0-6, before edging the third in a tiebreak, 7-6 (9-7). Fourie earned a straight-set win, 6-2, 6-0. Ibrahim dropped her match 6-1, 6-3, and Chowgule fell 6-3, 6-3.
