Corbett Breaks School Record and Wins Gold as Women's Swimming and Diving Moves to Fifth Place

HAMPTON, Va. – Brittany Corbett captured gold and broke her own school record as Drexel women's swimming and diving completed the second day of the 2026 CAA Championships. The Dragons sit in fifth place with 284.5 points heading into Friday's events.
Corbett defended her conference title in the 500 freestyle, winning gold in a school-record time of 4:47.79. The sophomore broke her own program record and secured back-to-back CAA championships in the event.
Harper Barrowman placed fifth in the championship final of the 500 free, touching in 4:52.92.
In the 200 individual medley, Jessie Rothrock finished 13th in the consolation final. Ali Bragg placed 19th and Mary Kubiak finished 24th.
Drexel placed five swimmers in the finals of the 50 freestyle. Delaney Leonard led the group with a ninth-place finish, while Clare Schwartz tied for 10th. Mari Alencar placed 12th, Hannah Charters finished 15th, and Olivia Scherbin placed 21st.
In three-meter diving, Lada Volkov placed 10th and Alexandra Schulze finished 11th.
Through two days, Drexel has earned two medals and set two school records.
