Men’s Rowing Season Comes to an End at IRA National Championships

GOLD RIVER, Calif. — The Drexel men's rowing team wrapped up its season Sunday at the IRA National Championships. The 2nd Varsity 8+ led the way for the Dragons, finishing second in the Third Final to place 14th overall. The Varsity 8+ took third in the Fourth Final, earning a 21st-place overall finish.
Drexel totaled 91 points to finish 17th in the national team standings. The national championship was won by Washington, which captured its third consecutive team title.
Rowing in Lois Krall III, Derek Kaiser (Coxswain), Danilo Djokic (Stroke), Ollie Quinn, Oscar Lourie, Ryan Miller, Noah Beaton, Aidan Ionescu, Charlie Fortner and Maxwell Burget (Bow) finished the course with a time of 5:53.952. Boston took the top spot, clocking in at 5:51.180.
The V8+ came home third in the fourth final, trailing behind Philadelphia foes Temple and La Salle.
