Milo Epstein and Hannah Walseth Named to Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA — Milo Epstein and Hannah Walseth of the Drexel men's and women's teams have been named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams for rowing.
The Academic All-Area team was voted on by the Philadelphia metropolitan area's 30 sports information offices. In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, an athlete must be in his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.
Epstein was a member of the Varsity 8+ team that took gold at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, defeating reigning champions Temple. The Dragons earned their fifth consecutive men's points title, as both programs secured the overall title for the third straight season. The junior has collected gold in all three seasons in University City. The Washington, D.C. native helped Drexel take down multiple ranked opponents this season, including Columbia, Georgetown, Holy Cross and Navy. Epstein was also named as an Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athlete.
Walseth was a member of the women's Varsity 8+ that placed third at the CAA Championships. The Saint Paul, Minn., native was named to the All-CAA Team and earned CRCA Scholar Athlete honors for the second consecutive season. The V8+ squad took bronze at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta and captured the overall points title for the third consecutive season.
