HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England — The Drexel men's rowing team wrapped up competition at the 2026 Henley Royal Regatta on Friday after three hard-fought races against elite opponents in Henley-on-Thames, England.
Wednesday
The team of Luke Joseph (coxswain), Ben Werber (stroke), Willem Kirsch, Oscar Lourie, Ryan Miller, Noah Beaton, Kyle Brown, Matthew Kennedy, and Jono Andersson pulled even with Trinity out of the gates, but the Bantams built a one-boat-length lead soon after. The Dragons closed the gap in the final stretch but ultimately fell by 3/4 of a length.
Thursday
Utrechtsche Studenten Roeivereeniging Triton defeated the Dragons in the Prince Albert Challenge Cup. The team of Derek Kaiser, Jakob Mauntel, Aidan Ionescu, Ollie Quinn and Justus Bormann fell by a bowball to the team from the Netherlands in a competitive race.
Friday
The pair of Milo Epstein and Charlie Fortner fell to the German National Team on Friday morning. The Drexel duo got off the start quickly, building an early one-boat-length lead. The German National Team responded by closing the gap early and pulled away over the remainder of the course to earn a comfortable victory.
