Varsity 8+ Falls to Trinity at Henley Royal Regatta

HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England — The Drexel men's rowing Varsity 8+ team fell to Trinity in the Temple Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta Wednesday morning.
The team of Luke Joseph (coxswain), Ben Werber (stroke), Willem Kirsch, Oscar Lourie, Ryan Miller, Noah Beaton, Kyle Brown, Matthew Kennedy, and Jono Andersson pulled even with Trinity out of the gates, but the Bantams built a one-boat-length lead soon after. The Dragons closed the gap in the final stretch but ultimately fell by 3/4 of a length.
The Varsity 4+ begins action tomorrow against U.S.R. Triton of the Netherlands in the Prince Albert Challenge Cup
