Moukarzel Wins Lebanese Men's Double Championship

JOUNEIH, LEBANON – Anthony Moukarzel of the Drexel men's tennis team won the Lebanese Men's Double Championship at the 2026 ATCL Open in Lebanon on Friday, July 17.
Moukarzel and his partner, William Jade, defeated the second-ranked duo of Tarek Chaaby and Rabie Saleem in the championship, winning 6-3, 6-4. The third-seeded duo earned a bye through the round of 16 and in the quarterfinal they defeated Freddy and Marc Stephan 6-1, 6-2 before winning the semifinal by walkover.
In singles play, Moukarzel defeated fifth-ranked Elie Elia in the round of 16, 6-1,6-1, before falling to Jade in the quarterfinal. Jade went on to win the Singles Championship.
