2026-27 Men’s Basketball Big 5 Schedule Announced

PHILADELPHIA – The schedule for the 2026-27 Big 5 men's basketball season was announced on Tuesday. The Dragons will host Saint Joseph's and visit Penn in their two pod games this season.
For the fourth straight year, each of the city's six NCAA Division I men's basketball programs have been split into two pods of three teams. Each team will play the others in their pod at on-campus sites in a round-robin format. From those games, the schedule will be set for a tripleheader at the Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, Dec. 5 with the first seed in each pod competing for the Big 5 championship, the second-place teams in each pod competing for third place, and the third seeds competing for fifth place.
For the 2026-27 season, one pod will feature Drexel, Penn and Saint Joseph's while the other pod features La Salle, Temple and Villanova.
Tickets for the men's Toyota Big 5 Classic at the Xfinity Mobile Arena will go on sale in September. Fans are encouraged to visit Big5Classic.com for updates.
