Women's Basketball 2026-27 Big 5 Schedule Announced

PHILADELPHIA – Basketball season will be here before you know it! The schedule for the 2026-27 Big 5 women's basketball campaign was announced on Tuesday. For the third consecutive year, all six of the city's NCAA Division I women's basketball programs have been split into two pods of three teams. Each team will play the others in their pod at on-campus sites in a round-robin format.
From those games, the schedule will be set for a tripleheader at The Palestra on Sunday, Dec. 6 to celebrate the historic venue's 100th Anniversary celebration. The first seed in each pod will compete for the Big 5 championship, while the second-place teams in each pod compete for third place, and the third seeds compete for fifth place.
For the 2026-27 slate, one pod will feature Drexel, Penn, and Saint Joseph's while the other pod features La Salle, Temple, and Villanova.
Beginning on Friday, Nov. 6 Drexel travels to Penn to face the Quakers at The Palestra. On November 15 the Dragons will host Saint Joseph's at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
Please note, ticket information for Big 5 tripleheader at The Palestra will be announced at a later date.
