Men's Tennis Wraps Up Farnsworth Invitational Play

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Drexel men's tennis team wrapped up its appearance at the Farnsworth Invitational Sunday afternoon.

In doubles play, Oskar Szymczak and Lun Obrul fell to Dartmouth's Dillon Beckles and Calvin Wang, 8-3. Josue Guzman and Anthony Moukarzel were defeated by Princeton's Ford McCollum and Meecah Bigun, 8-4. Tarek Mo Erlewein and Will Burridge beat Denny Bao and Puthi Pantaratorn, 8-4.

In singles play, Erlewein dropped the first set to Buffalo's Mathis Salvestre, 6-3, before winning the next two 6-2 and 6-4. Guzman won the first set against Buffalo's Onder Balci, 6-4, but dropped the next two sets 6-2 and 6-1. Moukarzel fell to Bigun, 6-2 and 6-0. Szymczak won a set against Beckles but ultimately fell 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Burridge also won a set but ultimately fell to Buffalo's Minjae Kim, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (6). To end the day, Obrul defeated Wang, 6-2 and 7-5.

The Dragons will return to the court on October 2 when they compete in the Saint Joseph's Invitational.
