2008-09: Named to CAA All-Academic Second Team…started in 32 of 33 games at forward…ranked second on the team with 16 blocks…set her personal season highs for rebounds, points, three-pointers, field goals, blocked shots and steals while averaging career-high 14.2 minutes per game…scored career high 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting against Virginia Commonwealth on Feb. 26, also blocked three shots in the Drexel win.
2007-08: Saw action in 11 games off the bench…reached season highs for points (7), rebounds (4), assists (2)…named to CAA All-Academic Second Team…ranked fifth on the team in blocked shots.
2006-07: Played in 27 of Drexel’s 31 games…started in the first game of her Drexel career against Penn State on Nov. 10, 2006…second on the team in blocks…turned in one of her best performances of the year in Drexel’s sweep of UNCW on Feb. 18, 2007, with two blocks, five points and five rebounds…swatted season-high three shots against Old Dominion on Jan. 7, 2007 became a key defensive substitution in the post by season’s end.
Background: Played for the Swedish Under 18 National Team that qualified for the Division I European Championship…also played for the Junior National All-Stars in Sweden, averaging six points and three rebounds per game…played for Norrköping Dolphins club team.
Personal: A general humanities and social science major…daughter of Stefan Stjärnström and Monica Johansson.
