Mission of New Recreation Center
The Recreation Center at Drexel University is committed to providing a lasting and meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the entire University community. Cognizant of the importance of wellness and active lifestyle to our student, faculty, and staff this state-of-the-art health and recreation facility will promote and encourage personal fitness, and lifelong health. It will also serve as a hub for social and educational events. Most importantly, the Recreation Center will be a true resource for students, faculty, and staff, and a symbol of Drexel University's commitment to the health of the community - both in body and mind.

New Facilities in the Recreation Center Include
- 13,000 square foot, two-court, multi-purpose gym
- 0.10 mile walking/jogging track
- 17,000 square foot weight and fitness area with a variety of top-of-the-line equipment including cardiovascular machines such as treadmills, bikes, and elliptical machines. The strength-training areas will feature Olympic benches, dumbbells, barbells, as well as plate loaded and selectorized cable machines
- Two squash courts with a viewing area
- Rock climbing wall
- Two large group exercise rooms featuring aerobic flooring, surround sound, high ceilings, and natural light
- An expansive atrium and sports themed restaurant
