Drexel University Athletics
Softball Field
Drexel’s Softball field sits at the top of the Complex, with a 205-foot fence to centerfield and 195-foot fences to both left and right fields. Equipped with a new irrigation system, the field is comprised of a mixture of dirt and clay, with a grass outfield and gravel warning track encompassing it. Each dugout now has a padded fence to protect players within, and is also equipped with a bat rack and helmet cubbies.
The right field fence was redone in 2015 as to accommodate fans to watch the game from the outfield, and now curves, as opposed to being in a straight line. In addition, the bullpen plates now have an 8-foot fence to protect fans from warmups. The batting cages, located behind the centerfield fence, are comprised of a synthetic turf surface and netting.
