Bernhardt became the first Drexel swimmer to earn Division I Honorable Mention All-American status after qualifying for her second-straight NCAA Championships in 2017 as a senior. A two-time CAA Women's Swimmer of the Year, the Vineland, New Jersey native made her first appearance at the NCAA Championships as junior in 2016, becoming the first women's swimmer at Drexel to do so. In between her junior and senior campaigns, Bernhardt competed at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, swimming both breaststroke events in Omaha, Neb. As a junior, Bernhardt grabbed the first-ever Drexel women's swimming CAA gold medals at the 2016 conference championships, winning both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events and successfully defended her titles as a senior while adding golds in 200-yard and 400-yard medley relays. In her final three years at Drexel, she earned six gold, three silver and two bronze medals as she was 11-time All-CAA. She leaves Drexel with seven school records including three individual and four relay.
